Oria Orchards was developed from a vision shared by Chris and Diane Robinson back in 1993. Both having horticultural research backgrounds, they sourced a property on the banks of the Ord River.
ORIA is short for Ord River Irrigation Area, which was the original name for the farming area surrounding Kununurra. Chris and Diane started growing a range of crops and now supply Kununurra and surrounds with fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Paw paw and mangoes are exported to Perth. . |
The florist shop developed to fill the demand for fresh flowers and is located within the Kimberley Cafe which is managed by their son in law and daughter.
Kununurra is located in Regional Far North Western Australia (almost as far north as you can go in WA).
Due to the distance from flower markets and our harsh climate we do not stock all types of flowers on a regular basis.
If you require specific flowers such as roses, we need a minimum 2 weeks’ notice to order them in.
